Daytona Beach today

We stayed in Titusville yesterday, we needed to do some grocery shopping.  Waited 1 hour for a taxi to go and come back, not very good service.  The people at the Municipal Marina were very nice and for 5$ you can take a shower even if you are anchored in the bay.

We also found out that 9,000 people will be losing their jobs after the next two shuttles...sad for this town.

Today Datona Beach and tomorrow St. Augustine where we will be spending a few days!

Staying in Vero Beach

Hi everyone...We hadn't checked the hours on the motor so tomorrow, Sunday Feb. 20., oil change.  Leaving Monday for Indian Harbor Beach, we will be anchored near Mathers Bridge.

Having a great time at Vero City Marina!  Used their washer and dryers today, expensive but they do work well.  We went into town again today, as I said the bus service is free (do give a donation).

Only hick here is the NO SEE-UMS, plenty of them.  Flying teeth!  For future travellers, bring the spiral bug repellent...they work really well!  Also, netting is a must.

Some pictures....

Yesterday we arrived in Fort Pierce at the City Marina , we should be leaving tomorrow morning for Vero Beach.  We intend on spending a few days at Vero Beach, we had not stopped there on our way down.  I sure hope the weather warms up, this morning it was 10 C in the boat...not too warm!

 Boca Raton, FL

Leaving Palm Beach, FL

For the next couple of days we will be doing a stretch along the ICW that we had not done on our way down, we had taken the sea.

Dredging at Jupiter Inlet, which way do we go!

ICW towards Stuart, FL

Care for a game of golf...this is for Gaby!

We didn't stop at this anchorage, Peck Lake just before Stuart.  Many people we met recommended this place, just a short walk to the beach, very pretty place.

Stuart

Hello everyone,

We are anchored in Stuart, all alone!  No other boats around us but really nice houses.

Tomorrow we will be in Fort Pierce where I have family waiting for us...great fun!  We should be there a couple of days.

A+  I will have some pic's of our trip from Palm Beach to Ft. Pierce!

Hello from Palm Beach

We are leaving Palm Beach today, heading towards Stuart then the day after Fort Pierce.  We are moving up slowly but surely.  There are so many bridges and the weather is not good to go out to sea.

When we arrived at Lake Worth we just had time to put down the anchor and a huge storm went through, wind and waves in Lake Worth with lots of heavy rain, Pierre got a 20 knot reading, that wasn't even the gusts.  We and all the boat around us were watching our anchor, everyone hoping they didn't drag!  Fun, fun!

Write real soon!

Little up-date!

Heading for Boca Raton today and Palm Beach the day after!  We will be taking the ICW, not so good to go out to sea.  :-(  We will be spending the day waiting for bridges...

We had lunch with Andre Simard yesterday, it was fun seeing him again.

More on our way to Jacksonville soon!

That's it for now.

Hello from Ft. Lauderdale, FL

We are on our way to Jacksonville, FL to store the boat.

Had a nice day at sea, some sailing and lots of big waves with the wind on our stern, Odyssey IV was surfing at some point.  We will be staying at Las Olas Marina at least 2 days....I lost the boat hook today so we need to get a new one.  It was very windy when we arrived at the mooring field...I tried to hold the mooring ball but...there we go I lost the boat hook instead.  We finally got the mooring ball with our bare hands...we have lots of bruises to show for our hard work, but we finally were able to tie up...Ouf!
